Only a few days away! My buddy Tim was a torch runner last night and here he is receiving the flame (BTW sorry if the pics are oversized):

And here's the flame that just went through my neighbourhood, practically right outside my front door!

I'm also volunteering for the Molson's Canadian Hockey House, which will host athletes, celebrities and have daily concerts and visits from hockey legends. It's going to be fun! I'll mainly be doing access control outside, i.e. making sure people go where they're supposed to.

I was at the training session yesterday and found out their clothing suppliers f-ed up. Everyone gets a jacket (a very nice StormTech!) and fleece sweater, but the supplier short-shipped them on the smaller sizes. There are 500 volunteers for Molson's, and roughly half of them were at my training session. I'd say most of us didn't get the size we wanted; in fact, my jacket is XXL -- which is kind of like putting a snuggie on a fence post, lol! The damn thing literally goes to my knees! So needless to say, they are scrambling to get the right sizes for everyone.

The Molson's tent is super cool and damn HUGE. 80,000+ square feet! It's MASSIVE inside. They took us on a tour and we went through the player's lounge; I wish I'd brought a camera cuz it's a hockey fan's dream with the walls lined with huge posters of past Olympic championship teams (men's and women's) and big banners with each player's pic on it. Check it out here: http://www.molsoncanadianhockeyhouse.com/index.php (turn the sound down on your computer first cuz a video plays right away)

My first shift is during the opening ceremonies on Fri. Woot, can't wait!   banana
