Epic Puts Gears 3 Story in Your Hands
Character fate to be voted on by you.

It appears that Epic has finally given up on finely crafting a Gears story and has now turned to the fans for help. Gears of War 3 will introduce a new character, Clayton Carmine, and whether he lives or dies in Gears of War 3 is being put to a vote.

By purchasing specific Xbox Avatar clothes, fans will cast their vote by choosing between two t-shirts. One reads "Save Carmine" and the other "Carmine Must Die." You can probably surmise which one votes for each fate.

The Carmine brothers have traditionally met with death in past Gears of War games, with both Ben and Anthony Carmine finding early graves.

All proceeds from the purchases of these Avatar shirts will go to the Child's Play Charity.

The voting begins on July 29, unless you're headed to the San Diego Comic-Con. There, real limited edition t-shirts with similar logos will be on sale for $20.00. Buying one of those will cast a similar vote as the Avatar purchases.
